| | Description | NasalClear is a new battery operated nasal aspirator. It quickly, easily, and safely clears your baby's stuffy nose and helps her breathe more freely. The NasalClear aspirator provides you with suction that is stronger than that of a traditional manual aspirator, yet gentle enough to use safely and comfortably on your newborn or toddler. Battery operation lets you control the suction, so that you maintain the suction or release it as needed. NasalClear operates on 2 AA batteries and includes 2 different tips to accommodate different shaped nostrils and a variety of congestion conditions. The tips are made of soft silicone, making them comfortable for children of all ages. Although NasalClear has greater suction power than a manual aspirator, it is still gentle enough to use on newborns. It comes apart for easy and thorough cleaning and is dishwasher safe. NasalClear includes a plastic collection cup that helps you evaluate your baby's level of congestion. Also, the aspirator plays 12 different children's tunes to help distract the baby while in use. WE GOT THIS WHEN MY BB BOY WAS 2 MONTH OLD AND HE HAD A BAD COLD, I LIKE HOW IT HAS TWO DIFFERENT TIPS BECAUSE THE LITTLE ONE WAS HELPFUL THEM AND NOW THAT MY BB IS 8 MONTH I USE THE OTHER ONE, NEVER HAD TO BUY A REPLACEMENT BECAUSE I CLEANED IT REALLY WELL AFTER EACH USE(AND THEY BEEN A LOT) I WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS ITEM. I ONLY WISH I COULD LAST LONGER... BUT I JUST BOUGHT ME A NEW ONE FOR THIS WINTER!
P.S. MY SON LOVES THE MUSIC, HE WAS A LITTLE BIT SCARE AT FIRST BUT AFTER A COUPLE OF TIMES HE DIDN'T MIND AT ALL.

I was excited to use the product and not soon enough baby got a sinus infection at 3 weeks old. I thought this product would help us get the snot out, but the tip on the suction piece is too small and the air does not suck enough. It had a hard time sucking the smallest of all boogers. I think I would try the old school way of sucking out snot or another product.

I was so excited about this when I first saw it in a catalog, as my son HATED regular nasal aspirators. I was hoping this would be something that would work quicker and not be quite as invasive. So, when I got pregnant with my daughter, I bought one. Well, sadly, it just doesn't work. I've tried several times, and it flat out does not work. Another thing too, that obviously isn't as important, is the music. It's loud and high pitched and scared my daughter the first time she heard it. Great thought though!

This does not pull anything out of my newborn daughter's nose - I've tried both tips. Even after instilling saline drops into her nostrils, the suction is insufficient. The blue bulb syringe from the hospital works much better than this does.

This product is fantastic! It is not super duper strong, but from all that I've learned that is a very good thing. I worked in a Children's Hospital and had to have extensive training for the really strong, super duper suction there. I found this aspirator to be wonderful as long as it was used with sufficient saline. If my daughter's nose was too dry, nothing would happen. We have used this on many a night during her nasty colds. I cannot imagine how we would have survived without it. I've tried the bulb aspirators and they just don't cut it. Plus, after a few tries, my daughter wouldn't let me near her with the bulb. I recommended it to all of my friends who are having babies. One tidbit of advice, though...don't lose the rubber ring in the head! They don't sell replacements and once it's gone, it doesn't suck at all. Just take extra care when washing because it falls out easily.
