| | Description | NasalClear is a new battery operated nasal aspirator. It quickly, easily, and safely clears your baby's stuffy nose and helps her breathe more freely. The NasalClear aspirator provides you with suction that is stronger than that of a traditional manual aspirator, yet gentle enough to use safely and comfortably on your newborn or toddler. Battery operation lets you control the suction, so that you maintain the suction or release it as needed. NasalClear operates on 2 AA batteries and includes 2 different tips to accommodate different shaped nostrils and a variety of congestion conditions. The tips are made of soft silicone, making them comfortable for children of all ages. Although NasalClear has greater suction power than a manual aspirator, it is still gentle enough to use on newborns. It comes apart for easy and thorough cleaning and is dishwasher safe. NasalClear includes a plastic collection cup that helps you evaluate your baby's level of congestion. Also, the aspirator plays 12 different children's tunes to help distract the baby while in use. It requires AA batteries (not included). | |

Life saver during a nasty cold and stuffy mornings! Jul 23, 2010 This product is fantastic! It is not super duper strong, but from all that I've learned that is a very good thing. I worked in a Children's Hospital and had to have extensive training for the really strong, super duper suction there. I found this aspirator to be wonderful as long as it was used with sufficient saline. If my daughter's nose was too dry, nothing would happen. We have used this on many a night during her nasty colds. I cannot imagine how we would have survived without it. I've tried the bulb aspirators and they just don't cut it. Plus, after a few tries, my daughter wouldn't let me near her with the bulb. I recommended it to all of my friends who are having babies. One tidbit of advice, though...don't lose the rubber ring in the head! They don't sell replacements and once it's gone, it doesn't suck at all. Just take extra care when washing because it falls out easily.

Wish I could give it zero stars Jul 19, 2010 What a waste of time and money! My son has been congested for a week now and I am dying for anything to help him breathe better and eat better, as nursing as very challenging when a baby cannot keep suction due to a stuffy nose. We got this product home popped in brand new batteries, put saline drops in his nose to loosen the mucus and tried it out, this thing was worthless...it couldn't even get the bats hanging out in the front of the cave, needless to say it didn't clear any snot from his sinuses. The only thing this aspirator managed to suck, was money out of my wallet, I wish I could give this zero stars. Worthless!

would not buy again Jun 10, 2010 this thing is a waste of money it's so weak it can't even suck anything out from my baby's nose. i replace the battery and it's still doing the same thing. now i can't even feel it's sucking at all. you can hear the air like it's trying to suck but not doing anything. waste of $20.00
Not much better than Nose Frida Jun 06, 2010 It more or less does the job. The product comes with two adapters. One has a large opening but a long slender tube. The other has a small opening, but is shorter. Ideally, there would be an adapter with a big opening, but also short. This would allow the device to get the big deposits, while still providing a good seal on the nostril without having to stick the device up the nostril too much. The Nose Frida has something like this, and this is why I typically use the Frida when my kid is really clogged up.
The music doesn't really help. Our kid hates getting her nose aspirated, regardless of the device.
Never worked Jun 03, 2010 I so wanted this product to work. But it never worked. I tried and tried but to no avail. I even tried sitting my child in the bathroom with the shower running to let the steam soften up the mucus first. That didn't work. I tried closing the opening of the other nostril while I used this on the other but that didn't work. I think I might resort to just letting my son play with it for the music.
